During his two year tenure at the IAC, he conducted over 40 energy efficiency audits at manufacturing facilities in the Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric service territories. Jason received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State then went on to join the California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE). As an energy engineer for CCSE, Jason continued to conduct energy efficiency audits of commercial and industrial buildings in the SDG&E service territory and also helped develop and implement Public Goods Charge funded programs such as the Local Government Energy Efficiency Program, Technical Assistance Program, and the Solar Water Heating Pilot Program. In addition to the B.A. from SDSU, Jason is also pursuing an M.B.A from SDSU (complete May 2008) and has also earned his Professional Engineering certification in mechanical engineering (License # 33886). Currently, Jason has co-founded EFM Solutions, LLC which specializes in energy efficiency engineering and consulting.
In addition to his work on specific projects and programs, he is active in a number of professional organizations that focus on energy and sustainability. He served on the standards sub-committee for the Solar Rating & Certification Corporation, and also is a member of the American Solar Energy Society, the Association of Energy Engineers, and the American Society of Heating Refrigerations & Air Conditioning Engineers.
